Founded in 2020, Electro alt rock outfit KyoYoKo is one of the new favorites in the Chinese underground music scene. Perhaps their original name Kill Yoko is a much better conveyor of what you’re getting into.

Taking a lot of the punk new wave elements of yesteryear (think The Rapture, New Order or The Big Wave) and twisting them further into dissociation, the band creates an interesting mix of post-punk, industrial rock, and a little bit of Free Jazz here and there.
